Ali Reza Afzalipour a man who lived for 84 years but, he will be remembered for as long human kind exists. He finished primary school in the big city of Tehran. After getting his diploma in 1931, he took part in an exam and as he did so well he went to France to continue his outstanding life.  The field he was studying was agricultural chemistry and he got his MSc in six years. After getting his degree in 1937 he came back to his homeland Iran. He finished his military service in 1940 and started his business with a little amount of money. He kept his job in the electronic product field for around 50 years.

Since he went to France with governments money, He always thought of himself as a person who owes a lot to his country. He always looked for a way to return his owe to his country.

During his middle age he started thinking about building a university and years after that he found himself in an able situation to do so. He started his research in 1970.  He researched about 11 universities in Europe and almost all the universities in Iran. After a fully detailed study he chose Kerman as the final destination of his imaginations.

Finally in 1972 after conferring with his talented wife Fakhere Saba he made his ultimate decision and after getting his write from the ministry of science research technology, he started this beneficial work. The money he started building the university with, was around 60 million Tomans which was a lot of money at that time.

After a lot of studies, in December of 1975  the space given to the university was 500 hectare. From the second the decision was finalized, he started preparing for green environment around the university. As he had said himself he has planted all the trees around the university with his own powerful hands.

Sending around 50 students to European  countries for higher education was one of  the most important factors. There were a lot of problems in his way but, his enthusiasm and his perseverance always kept him going.

The university opened on September of 1985 and he saw the result of all his hard works in a beautiful university. Five years after that the medical department buildings were also made and a holy place was ready for young minds progress and improvement.
